Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: October 17, 2026
Short version: students never give us anything. No student accounts, names, emails, photos, locations, or tracking. Leaders who buy a license share only what's needed to bill and support them.
Students (including children under 13)
- Students join a game by scanning the TV's QR code. They don't sign up, log in, or enter personal information.
- A table device may send a team name (like "Lions"). Leaders approve names before they appear, and the app filters names. Team names should never be a student's full name.
- Game data (team names, scores, buzzes) travels between the screen and phones in the room over a direct browser connection or a public relay used only to pass messages. We don't store it on our servers. It is saved only in the screen's browser (local storage) until the leader resets it.
- We don't use cookies, ads, analytics or tracking pixels on the game pages, and we don't sell or share data. Because we don't collect personal information from children, we believe the U.S. COPPA rules on collecting it don't apply. If you think a child sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Leaders who buy a license
- From checkout (payments processed by Stripe): name, email, church/organization name if given, billing country and postal code (and billing address where needed for sales tax), and order/subscription status. Card details go directly to Stripe, our payment processor, never to us.
- License server (hosted on Supabase): a hash of your license key, your email and church name, plan and renewal dates, and for each activated screen a random device ID, a label like "sworddrills · Win32", and when it was last checked.
- We use this only to deliver and check your license, send receipts and important account notices, and answer support emails. No marketing email unless you opt in.
- We keep license records while your license is active and for up to 7 years after for tax and accounting records, then delete them. Ask anytime for a copy or deletion (unless we must keep it for tax law).
Service providers
- GitHub Pages (hosts the site; sees IP addresses in server logs).
- Google Fonts (loads fonts; sees IP addresses).
- PeerJS cloud signalling and public MQTT relays (pass game messages; no personal data is sent).
- Stripe (payment processing, subscriptions and receipts; see Stripe's privacy policy). Supabase (license database).

Email support@bigroomgames.com to access, correct or delete your data. Residents of California, the EU/UK and elsewhere have these rights by law; we give them to everyone.
